J-1 Internship/ Trainee

This unique and structured program provides opportunities for final year college/university students and recent graduates with the hospitality field to work & travel in the U.S for up to 12 months. Skilled adults with 5 years of working experience in the hospitality field can also participate.

The primary goal of the program is to encourage professional and social development through hands on training, and exposure to different cultures.

J-1 Internship Eligibility & Requirements

  • Age limit- 18 to 32
  • Must be a final year hospitality student or recent graduate within the field. Level of study is an Associate Degree or above.
  • Minimum of 1-year working experience in the Food & Beverage or Hospitality field.
  • Bio-page of Passport
  • Smiling passport size photo
  • Copy of resume
  • Complete online registration form
  • Recommendation letter from previous employer/s
  • Confirmation of registration receipt
  • Copy of previous Ds-2019 or work visas (if applicable)

J-1 Trainee Eligibility & Requirements

  •  Age limit- 18 to 35
  • Must have five years of experience in the hospitality or food & beverage industry
  • Bio-page of Passport
  • Smiling passport size photo
  • Copy of resume
  • Complete online registration form
  • Recommendation letter from previous employer/s
  • Confirmation of registration receipt

Additional Program Related Fees

•    Medical Insurance for the duration of program $540 USD
•    Student Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) $220 USD
•    Non-Immigrant Visa Application at the US Embassy in Jamaica $160 USD
•    Travel Expenses & Housing Deposit- varies depending time of travel, state visiting, or cost outlined  by the landlord or employer.

Program Fee Deposit

The deposit of $1000 USD is required to begin the placement process. The sum will be applied to the overall balance of the program fee or payment plan option you selected. Final payment of fees should be paid within 5 business days after receiving the training plan or job offer letter.
